Need a waiver?
You are required to deposit your paper in the AUT repository. However you may request a waiver of the open-access license granted to AUT, on an article-by-article basis.
Note that waivers are only required if you do not wish the paper to ever be open access. Publisher embargos do not require a waiver - library staff will ensure papers are not released until the embargo period ends.
Need a waiver?
It is a requirement that AUT staff deposit versions of published papers in the AUT repository. Library staff will ensure papers are published in line with publisher licences including applying embargos where required.
You may request a waiver of the open-access license granted to AUT, on an article-by-article basis. These are only required if you do not wish the paper to ever be open access. In these cases we still ask that papers are submitted to the repository so they can be archived and preserved in the hidden, dark archive.
